Thank you for visiting and welcome to OPPS4VETS, Handshakes not Handouts® a registered trademark of TheARRC®.
My entrepreneurship spirit began November 5, 1974 when I signed my very first contract to serve our Nation. Followed with my first orders directing me to take charge of fellow Marine recruits to report to Marine Corps Boot Camp on November 8, 1974.
My older Brother Joe, also a Marine told me (when i visited him at Camp Horno, Camp Pendleton, CA shortly after my military training in 1975) "Learn the tricks of the trade and what strings to pull". I took that to heart and still today I do just that. After reaching my highest rank of Chief Warrant Officer-4, it was clear to me how those tips served me well.
One of the most important projects I engaged in was being part in deploying the Total Force Administrative System (TFAS) moving the Marine Corps from paper to paperless environment. What prepared me for this project was my tour in the 1991 Gulf War and awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for developing and deploying a system to account for our deployed forces. It is this work ethic we offer to all those we serve.
I retired April 1, 2000, and founded two all volunteer national non-profit organizations (Operation Interdependence and Southwest Veterans' Business Resource Center) fully operational today. The skills in strategy and logistics stem from my successful military career. In conjunction with this success I built my firm The ARRC a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business that funded both national non-profits.
I developed a keen sense on how to leverage resources generating the greatest results with the least cost. It is my intent to offer this expertise to you. With me, my team includes my two sons Albert Jr. and Daniel, they bring with them current generational ideals and perspectives. Together our team will deliver and exceed your expectations.
Any idea requires exposure and outreach strategies and how it is delivered requires a sound logistical plan.
OPPS 4 VETS was created due to the need of a true Veteran organization that provides real results for the Veteran and civilian population. Our tagline, “Handshakes, Not Handouts” is aimed at non-profit organizations that put an emphasis on a ‘wounded warrior’ when in reality, all Veterans are better trained to survive in any situation, even in the economic jungle. By providing resources, matchmaking, training and marketing tools to our Veterans and civilian counterparts, we are geared to make a difference. I know, i have done just that and if you learn anything about a warrant officer, we are all trained to deliver.
