Our Story

OPPS 4 VETS was created due to the need of a true Veteran organization that provides real results for the Veteran and civilian population.  Our tagline, “Handshakes, Not Handouts” is aimed at non-profit organizations that put an emphasis on a ‘wounded warrior’ when in reality, all Veterans are better trained to survive in any situation, even in the economic jungle.  By providing resources, matchmaking, training and marketing tools to our Veterans and civilian counterparts, we are geared to make a difference.

OPPS 4 VETS understands the Veteran business landscape and all the available opportunities and the roadblocks.  We have dedicated years of our lives supporting Veteran entrepreneurs in their endeavor to sell to both the private and federal sectors.  We understand that the typical Veteran owned business gets stopped in its tracks before it can even get started due to difficulty in navigating roadblocks. 

We have created a team of both Veteran and non-Veteran business leaders and experts to not only guide our members toward opportunity, but to introduce Veteran owned businesses directly to decision makers.

Rick Grady
Central Region Distributor

Rick has lead sales, public affairs, mergers and acquisitions, and intelligence activities for Fortune 500 companies including Affiliated Computer Services, Computer Task Group, and Electronic Data Systems, where at the latter he spearheaded technological developments in Software as a Service(SaaS), microcomputers, internet technologies and cloud-based operations.

Randall Harrelson
Western Region Distributor

Born and raised in a Western suburb of Chicago, Randall moved to San Diego in 1998. Over the past 25 years, Randall has worked in the technology, internet and financial services industries in recruiting, sales, support and training.  His extensive business knowledge and skills, commitment to teamwork, and exceptional customer service provided him a solid foundation to become the successful entrepreneur he is today.

Ronnie Wike
Eastern Region Distributor

Ronnie Wike has more than 25 years of productive management of local and regional accounts, with a track record of success with some of the leading advertising agencies in the country.   Ronnie has worked with large and small companies across the Eastern United States to help them grow revenue.   Ronnie is an accomplished sales strategist and solution-oriented manager of accounts.

Mel Epstein

Over the decades, Mel has observed many businesses and individuals with no brand, a bad brand, or a damaged brand. He has a word for them, too. “Brandicapped!” In fact, he wrote the book on it.  Add writing Brandicapped! to being a star creative at a very successful East Coast advertising firm to starting and buidling his own West Coast marketing firm (Marketing Vision) and parlay both with his love for teaching (at San Diego State) and you’ve got a rather accomplished Branding and Marketing Guru.
